Description
This one-hour continuing education course fulfills the Utah state-specific elective requirement for mortgage loan originators licensed by the Utah Division of Real Estate (DRE). The course satisfies 1 hour of Utah state-specific CE credit toward the 9-hour annual CE requirement under Utah Code § 61-2c-204.1.
The course is structured in two chapters of 30 minutes each. Both chapters follow the required topic list issued by the UT-DRE (Last Revised January 28, 2026). Chapter 1 covers unlicensed activity under § 61-2c-201, the foreclosure rescue and loan modification framework under §§ 61-2c-102 and 61-2c-301 (including permissible gifts, compensation limits, and prohibitions for distressed properties), and the advertising prohibitions under § 61-2c-301 with the DRE’s cited examples of bait-and-switch violations. Chapter 2 covers specialized energy-efficient mortgage programs and solar panel financing under § 61-2c-203 and federal law, followed by the three DRE-designated 2025 disciplinary case studies.
