Purpose

Locked in Learning, LLC d/b/a LockedIn Learning strives to deliver consistent, high-quality NMLS-approved education. This Course Cancellation Policy addresses two categories of cancellation: (1) cancellations initiated by the student, and (2) cancellations initiated by the Company. This policy applies to all Pre-Licensure Education (PE), Continuing Education (CE), and other professional courses offered through the Company’s platform.

1.2

Student-initiated cancellations

A student may request cancellation of their course enrollment at any time by submitting a written request to the Company. Cancellation requests are subject to the following terms:

1.3

Student-initiated cancellation due to NMLS exemption

If a student becomes exempt from a PE or CE requirement after enrollment (e.g., due to a qualifying exemption granted by a state regulator), the student may request cancellation and will receive a full refund, provided:

Refund requests under this provision will be evaluated within five (5) business days of receipt of supporting documentation.

1.4

Company-initiated cancellations

The Company reserves the right to cancel a student’s enrollment under the following circumstances:

1.4.1 NMLS or regulatory requirement changes

If the NMLS or a state regulatory authority issues guidance or rule changes that affect the availability, content, or approval status of a course, the Company may be required to cancel affected enrollments. In such cases:

1.4.2 Academic integrity and policy violations

The Company may immediately cancel a student’s enrollment, without refund, if the student is found to have:

Students whose enrollments are cancelled for academic integrity violations may be reported to the NMLS and/or applicable state regulators in accordance with NMLS reporting requirements.

1.4.3 Technical or operational cancellations

In rare cases, the Company may need to cancel a course offering due to technical failures, platform issues, force majeure events, or other operational circumstances beyond the Company’s reasonable control. In such cases:

1.5

Course expiration

All course enrollments are subject to an access expiration date. Unless an alternative access period has been specified at the time of enrollment:

Students who do not complete their course by the applicable expiration date will lose access to course content and must re-enroll at the then-current course fee. Expired enrollments are not eligible for refund. The Company may, at its discretion and subject to an administrative fee, grant a one-time enrollment extension upon written request submitted at least fourteen (14) days prior to the expiration date.

1.6

NMLS reporting following cancellation

The Company will update its records with the NMLS following any course cancellation to accurately reflect the student’s enrollment and completion status. Partial completions will not be reported as completed course credits. In cases involving cancellation due to academic integrity violations, the Company will make any required disclosures to the NMLS or state regulators as mandated by applicable rules and requirements.

1.7

Notification procedures

All Company-initiated cancellation notices will be delivered to the email address on file in the student’s account. It is the student’s responsibility to maintain an accurate and accessible email address. The Company will be deemed to have provided adequate notice upon sending an email to the address on file, regardless of whether the student actually receives or reads the notice.

1.8

Appeal process

Students who believe their enrollment was cancelled in error, or who wish to appeal a Company-initiated cancellation, may submit a written appeal to the Company within ten (10) calendar days of the cancellation notice. Appeals must include:

The Company will review the appeal and issue a written determination within fifteen (15) business days of receipt. The Company’s determination on appeal is final.

1.9

Policy updates

This Course Cancellation Policy may be updated from time to time. The current policy will be posted on the Company’s website and will be provided to students at the time of enrollment. The policy in effect at the time of enrollment governs that enrollment.
